Ngaio Parr is an independent designer, author, artist and curator. Her eponymous studio, founded in 2014, collaborates with clients to create exceptional books and publications, branding and identity, museum and gallery projects, and spaces. She has worked with The New York Times, Disney, Thames & Hudson, Penguin, Figma, Frankie Magazine, Buzzfeed, Hachette, HP, Leanne Ford, Secret 7 and Adobe.

A devoted generalist, Ngaio enjoys a wide range of creative projects, especially those that are good for the planet, for good people, or a good time.  She eschews a house style, instead synthesizing her obsessive research to create tailored solutions that range from refined to eclectic — usually with a pop of colour.

Ngaio also publishes a popular fortnightly newsletter, Some Things. She is the founder and director of Make Nice, an annual un-conference and online platform for creative women active from 2015-2018 that provided community support and practical advice both in Australia and the US. Ngaio is a frequent public speaker at conferences and institutions around the world. From 2015 - 2020, she lectured in design at the University of Technology Sydney.
