The Pixies, Doolittle 1989
Given that I was only three years old when it was released, it's a little strange that Doolittle is probably my favourite album of all time (tied with White Blood Cells). I originally purchased the album to (unsuccessfully) impress the boy from Rockinghorse Records who I had a crush on. Unlike my high school crush though, my love for Doolittle remains deep and unwavering (I walked down the aisle to the dulcet tones of Dave Lovering singing La La Love You).
This illustrations marks Record Reverie 25! This project thus far has helped me develop my skills, listen to some great albums, and receive wonderful support from so many people who have reached out with kind words, a mutual love of music, and (mind bogglingly) even purchased prints to have in their homes. To celebrate, I've put some of the most popular Record Reveries up in my store and am offering 25% off everything for the next week with the code #recordreverie25! Get into it, and thanks so much for following Record Reverie along with me.
Record Reverie is a watercolour illustration series of my favourite albums. Look at more illustrations from the series here.
